Using structural steel frames in construction project has a wealth of advantages. Fast, flexible, durable and steel structures are usable for a wealth of all kinds of applications.
MAH Steel has the experience and equipment to create steel structures quickly and efficiently. On top of that we are qualified to the industry CE mark standard. We provide a wide range of structural steelwork from beams in homes, to steel for the structures of new buildings. MAH Steel are able to work from drawings provided by your architects within our 22,000 square foot workshop. We then supply and install the steel on your site as required.
We offer a full site survey service and also work closely with your architects and structural engineers to bring your projects to life. Our combination of steel structure design plans along with our expert manufacturing is truly unbeatable.
Although every project is unique, we find that a lot of them use the most common steel structures. We are accustomed to erect these structures on very busy sites as cost effectively as possible. Box frame
A box frame is a structure that is made from two columns and two beams which looks like a typical rectangular or square. This structure is needed to support buildings if walls are removed. Box frame needs to be used if there is no party wall agreement in place.Goal post frame
A goal post frame structure is generally used for rear extensions where the foundations are suitable or where pads for the columns to bear onto can be dug and cast in concrete. The 2 columns transfer this load down to the foundation and also add greater lateral stability. It can also be used if there is no party wall agreement in place.Cranked roof frame
Cranked roof frame is an essential part when it comes to loft conversions. Additional cross beam helps to support roof joists.Portal frame
Portal frame is a low-rise structure supported by columns and characterised by a beam or rafter. However, the joints between the beam and columns are 'rigid' so that the bending moment in the beam is transferred to the columns.Other MAH products
