Project Overview
This project involved the supply and specialist lifting of structural steelwork to a site in Kensington. The client required a safe and efficient solution to install steel into a difficult-to-access property within a dense urban setting. MAH Steel coordinated both the supply and crane-assisted installation, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining precision.The Challenge
The primary challenge was access. The site was located in a tight London street with limited space and no direct access for traditional lifting equipment. The long reach required increased precision and careful planning, with every movement needing full control.
Our Approach
Design & Planning
We worked closely with the client to understand site constraints, lift distances, and sequencing. Lift planning ensured the crane could safely reach all required, while maintaining stability. Timing and positioning were carefully coordinated to maximise efficiency.
Fabrication
All steel sections were fabricated to specification prior to delivery, ensuring readiness for immediate installation. Accuracy was critical as the steel would be lifted directly into place. Quality checks ensured all components met required standards.
Delivery & Installation
Delivery and lifting were carried out using our specialist crane lorry, operated by Marcin. The 30m reach enabled safe lifting over obstacles and direct placement. Each lift was executed with precision, ensuring safe handling and efficient installation.
