Steel fabrication for Berkshire

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for projects across Berkshire, including Reading, Slough, Newbury, Maidenhead, Windsor and Bracknell, with lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) delivery assessed for each address. The M4 runs through the county, which has six unitary authorities.

Berkshire gives builders a real mix of sites. The Thames forms the northern border and flows past Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor, while the Berkshire Downs, a chalk downland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lie in the west of the county north of the River Kennet. Between the two sit the M4 towns, so sites range from town-centre plots to rural ones.

Steel is fabricated from the structural engineer's drawings, with MAH coordinating with the architect or builder, and it is checked at the Gravesend workshop before delivery. A large stock of structural sections is held there, so MAH can respond to planned and urgent requirements. MAH also describes an approach that keeps fabrication, HIAB delivery and onsite installation or steel erection under one roof, with project management.
