Structural Steel Sections
MAH Steel supplies and fabricates structural steel sections to exact project specifications across the South East. Our stock range covers all standard profiles in S275 and S355 grades, with full in-house processing including cutting, drilling, plating, and finishing.
From single beams to full structural packages, we support contractors, engineers, and fabricators with accurately prepared steelwork ready for erection. Every section can be supplied loose or fully fabricated, depending on your programme and site requirements.
With over 60 years of combined industry experience, our team understands structural demands, tolerances, and lead times. We don’t just supply steel – we deliver sections that are ready to perform on site.
Typical applications include structural frames, mezzanines, extensions, load-bearing alterations, and general fabrication work. Below is a breakdown of the most commonly specified sections we supply and process.
Universal columns
Universal Columns are designed for vertical structural support, with near-equal flange and web dimensions providing excellent load distribution. We supply UC sections in a full range of sizes, suitable for columns, frames, and heavily loaded structural applications. Fabrication services include base plates, cap plates, stiffeners, and connection detailing, ensuring each column integrates seamlessly into your structural design.Universal beams
Often referred to as RSJs or I-beams, Universal Beams are primarily used for horizontal load-bearing applications. We stock a wide range of beam sizes and weights, available in S275 and S355 grades. All beams can be cut to length and fabricated to your specification, including end plates, web stiffeners, cleats, and drilled connections. Supplied either primed or galvanised, our UBs are prepared for immediate installation across residential and commercial projects.Circular hollow section
CHS profiles offer uniform strength and torsional resistance, making them ideal for both structural and architectural applications. We supply circular hollow sections in various diameters and wall thicknesses, cut and finished to specification. Their smooth profile makes them suitable for exposed steelwork, columns, and bracing systems, with optional coatings including primer or galvanising for durability.Square hollow section
Square hollow sections provide a balance of strength, symmetry, and ease of fabrication. Commonly used in structural frameworks, supports, and general fabrication, SHS is available in a range of sizes and thicknesses. We offer precision cutting, mitring, and drilling to suit your project requirements, ensuring consistent quality and fit on site.Rectangular hollow section
RHS profiles are widely used where flat surfaces and directional strength are required. Ideal for beams, frames, and load-bearing applications, rectangular hollow sections are easy to connect and fabricate. We supply RHS in multiple sizes and thicknesses, with processing options including cutting, drilling, and welding preparation.Rolled steel angle unequal
Unequal angles (RSA Unequal) are used where differing load requirements or connection constraints are present. Their asymmetrical profile allows for greater flexibility in design and installation. Available in multiple sizes, all sections can be processed to suit structural or fabrication applications.Rolled steel angle equal
Equal angles (RSA Equal) are a versatile section used across structural and general fabrication projects. With equal leg lengths, these sections are suited to bracing, framing, and connection work. We supply a full range of sizes, cut to length or prepared for fabrication, depending on your project needs.Flat bar
Flat bar is a fundamental steel section used across construction, fabrication, and engineering. We supply flat bar in a wide range of widths and thicknesses, suitable for base plates, cleats, supports, and general fabrication. All material can be cut, drilled, or welded as required, ready for use on site or in workshop environments.WANT MORE INFORMATION?
