Steel fabrication for East London

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent and delivers by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) across East London, from Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham to Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham and Havering, for lofts, extensions, refurbishments and larger structural projects.

East London comprises the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest, from the inner east to Havering on the Essex border. Docklands was designated for redevelopment in the 1980s and the Lower Lea Valley around Stratford is a regeneration area, so building work here ranges from new build to alterations to older housing. MAH supplies builders, contractors, developers and homeowners across that range.

Reaching East London from Kent means crossing the Thames, and the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels and the Dartford Crossing are all charged. Which is used depends on the destination. From the A2, the A102 Blackwall Tunnel Approach and the tunnels connect south-east London with the A12, the A13 and Newham and Tower Hamlets on the north bank. Across the Dartford Crossing, the A13 runs from M25 junction 30 through Havering, Barking and Dagenham and Newham to Tower Hamlets, and is the main road into the riverside boroughs. Further north, the A12 joins the M25 at junction 28 and runs as Eastern Avenue towards Wanstead, with the A118 parallel to it through Romford and Ilford.
