Steel fabrication for Tower Hamlets

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for lofts, extensions and larger structural projects across Tower Hamlets, from Bethnal Green, Whitechapel and Stepney to Poplar, Limehouse and the Isle of Dogs, with delivery by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). The borough runs from the City boundary to the Thames.

New housing was built in the 1950s after wartime bombing, and Docklands regeneration later brought housing and industry to riverside sites. MAH's work here ranges from loft beams to larger structural alterations. Steel is fabricated at Gravesend, and onsite modifications to beams and connections can be made where it needs to be adjusted.

Which way the lorry comes depends on the destination: the A2 and the Blackwall Tunnel reach the north bank, joining the A12 and A13, while the M25 and A13 serve the same boroughs from the east. The Dartford Crossing and the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels are all charged. The borough's western edge meets the City of London, so whether a site falls inside the Congestion Charge zone is worth checking with TfL. Cranes reach 15 m, 22 m or 30 m (fly jib), confirmed per job.
