Project overview
The refurbishment and steel extension of an existing public house in Greenwich, London. The client was new to us and wanted a steel fabricator who could meet tight deadlines and keep costs down. They enquired about our steel fabrication and asked for a quote, and went ahead with us.
Work delivered
Drawings
Once the project was confirmed, our in-house draftsmen drew up the plans with the client's engineers and architects, so the new steel would line up with the existing building and the planned extensions.
Fabrication
The client's engineers specified the structural steel, which we sourced from our wholesaler. On arrival it was checked against the cutting list, cut to size and prepared for welding. The components were welded to the approved drawings, and our in-house quality assurance team checked every joint, weld and measurement before finishing.
Finish and delivery
The steel was shot blasted and given a zinc phosphate primer. We loaded it onto our lorries for the site in Greenwich, and our team carried out the installation to fit the client's project schedule.
Outcome
- Steel installed to the client's schedule, with the client reporting it exceeded expectations on price and service
