Finishes
All MAH Steel fabrication comes with a selection of steel finishes. This way you can be sure that the final product will meet your project needs perfectly.
The final step in the manufacturing process, steel finishes provide aesthetic style and environmental protection. We also use them to reduce surface roughness that is beyond the capabilities of machining operations. Finishing can include methods of metal cleaning, descaling, deburring, etc if needed. We complete all finishes for your steel fabrication in-house by our team in our warehouse in Kent.
We use different finishing processes for a variety of different purposes. The advantages of metal finishing treatments include, increased durability, aesthetic appeal, higher electrical, chemical and tarnish resistance, as well as enhanced electrical conductivity. Our team use the most common ones listed below across many projects. Their effectiveness has been successfully used by many of our clients.
So, if you would like to find out more about our steel finishes and how we apply them, get in contact with our team today. As well as finishes, we also provide a range of sections, structures and connections options. We take every part of your project into account, making MAH Steel the one stop shop for South East steel fabrication requirements.
Galvanise
Galvanising is one of the most common methods to protect steelwork from corrosion. This method is quite easy and cost effective for all metals. Its procedure is to apply thin coating of zinc to a thicker base metal. This helps to shield it from the surrounding environment.Primer
Primer paint ensures better adhesion of paint to the surface, increases paint durability, and provides additional protection to the steelwork. Usually it is used before painting with other paints.Intumescent
Intumescent paint which can be also called as coating are used in buildings as a passive fire resistance measure. They can be applied to structural steelwork as an aesthetically pleasing fireproofing product.Powder coat
Powder coating is applied as a free-flowing powder in a completely dry form. Think of it as paint with the solvent part removed. The coating is painted electrostatically and then cured under heat which causes it to form a kind of “skin.”Other MAH products
