Project overview
A customer in Slough, Berkshire, contacted MAH Steel needing fabricated steel for a house extension with a Hiab lift. The job needed to be drawn for site dimensions, which the customer provided. The fabricated steel was in stock and was processed quickly.
Work delivered
Fabrication
The workshop received the order and the steel was selected from our stock, taken to the saw by forklift, checked off against the cutting list and sawn to length. The cut lengths were transferred to the fabrication area and checked by the fabrication team for the correct length before work began. The cut ends were cleaned up and the end plates and connections added. The fabrication, welding and drilling were then checked to make sure the holes, plates and specifications were adhered to and lined up.
Finish and delivery
The steels were sandblasted and painted, then hung in the yard to dry. Before loading, the painted steel was visually checked again, and fixings, bolts, nuts, washers and packing plates were added. It was loaded onto our 15-metre Hiab lorry, the driver checked the load ready for an early start, and the steel was delivered and placed on the driveway, where the customer needed it.
Outcome
- Steel placed on the driveway where the customer needed it
Another spot on delivery from MAH Steel, there are lots of steel companies out there, however since using MAH Steel, I have experienced nothing less than a first class service, also their prices are great.
