Our process begins with the drawing team, who expertly design each project with precision. We source structural steel from CE-accredited steel suppliers, ensuring top-tier quality for every steel beam. Upon delivery, we meticulously check and offload the steel at our yard using fork trucks. Any signs of defects are flagged and handled before the steel continues through our streamlined process.

After that, we transfer the steel to our cutting area, where our team matches it against a specific cutting list for the project at hand. Using highly efficient saws, the steel is cut to the correct lengths. These cut lengths are verified by our fabrication team to ensure they meet exact project specifications before we move forward.

Before steel fabrication begins, our team cleans the cut ends and mark them for drilling. Our skilled steel fabricators precisely tack-weld end plates and connecting plates into place. Precision is key at this stage, as accuracy directly impacts the integrity of the structure. After fabrication, the steel undergoes rigorous checks to confirm all holes and plates align perfectly with the engineering drawings.

The final step in our process is applying the correct thickness of protective paint to the fabricated steel. We blast and coat the steel, and leave it to dry in our yard.

Last but not least, the steel is ready for delivery and installation.

Delivering steel to South West London can be challenging due to the narrow streets and closely packed buildings. However, with our specialised fleet of lorries and cranes, we handle it with ease!

So, the steel was visually checked by the loading team. Everything should be correct to the notes! Furthermore, our team added bolts, nuts and washers and packing plates. Next, they loaded it onto our hi-ab lorry. The driver personally checked the load, and then delivered it to site and placed where the customer wanted it. In this case it was placed through the hoarding on a busy London street. Thankfully the customer had traffic restrictions lifted!
