Project overview

One of our long-term customers needed structural steel for a rear extension in Harold Hill, Havering. It was a simple framing job that still needed careful planning and precise fabrication.

Work delivered

Fabrication

After agreeing the fabrication details with the customer, we selected the steel from our stock and checked each length against the cutting list before sawing it to size. Our fabricators assembled the frame to the confirmed drawings, and our quality assurance team double-checked every beam and plate against the engineer's specification. The welding and drilling were carried out to plan, and each hole and connection detail was verified.

Finish and delivery

The steels were sandblasted and painted with a zinc phosphate primer. After a final inspection by our quality assurance and loading teams, the steelwork was loaded onto our 30-metre Hiab lorry and set off for an early 5am delivery. Our driver and crane operator positioned the steels right over the back of the customer's house, where they were needed.
