Steel fabrication for Dungeness

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for building projects at Dungeness, Lydd and New Romney, with delivery by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). Dungeness is a shingle headland on Romney Marsh, with wooden beach houses and converted railway coaches beside a national nature reserve.

After the M25 and the M20, the last leg crosses Romney Marsh. Only two roads reach the headland, one from New Romney and one from Lydd, and a single road runs about a mile south to the tip. That makes the full address, and where the lorry will stand, matter even more than usual.

Dungeness is a national nature reserve, a Special Protection Area and a Special Area of Conservation, and is part of the Dungeness, Romney Marsh and Rye Bay SSSI, so site owners should check the constraints before work starts. Where steel needs adjusting once delivered, MAH's onsite team can modify it on site. Crane reach (15 m, 22 m or 30 m with fly jib) is confirmed per job.
