Project overview
A residential project in Brentwood needed fabricated steel at speed. Having been let down by a previous supplier, the customer turned to us because they had to have what they needed. The steel was in stock, so the order was processed and sent to the workshop straight away.
How we did it
Cutting and preparation
Once the steel was offloaded, our cutting and saw operators checked the cutting list and cut the steel to the required measurements. Our workshop manager issued job tickets and Tekla drawings, and the ends were cleaned up and squared off to give the correct cut lengths. The beams were then shot blasted.
Galvanising and delivery
After manufacture, the steel was sent to the galvanisers on an express turnaround to keep to the client programme. When it came back it was checked again and against the delivery note, loaded onto one of our Hiab lorries and delivered to site.
Outcome
The whole project completed in 48 hours

This is the first time we have used MAH Steel, and they certainly rose to the challenge. Thanks for the effort and we will see you on the next one.
