Steel fabrication for Walthamstow

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for loft conversions, extensions and refurbishments in Walthamstow, where most housing is early twentieth-century terraces and Walthamstow Village is a conservation area, with delivery by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). Leyton and Leytonstone lie to the south.

Walthamstow steel is fabricated at Gravesend and brought in round the M25 and by the A12, which runs south-east of the town with junctions signed for Leyton and Leytonstone. Hoe Street is part of the A112 and the A406 North Circular runs to the north. Beams for loft conversions, extensions and refurbishments are made to the engineer's drawings and checked before delivery.

Walthamstow Market fills most of the High Street and operates five days a week, so the day and time of a delivery matter near it; scheduling, access and unloading are discussed with the customer before the vehicle is confirmed. Lorries over 3.5 tonnes driving in Greater London must meet the Euro VI standard or pay a daily Low Emission Zone charge.
