Steel fabrication for Hackney

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for loft conversions, extensions and warehouse refurbishments across Hackney, from Dalston and Stoke Newington to Clapton and Shoreditch. Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian terraces and converted warehouses are part of the borough's housing mix, and we deliver by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB).

Hackney has many conservation areas protecting large areas of Georgian and Victorian housing and industrial heritage, and warehouses in the south of the borough are being converted to housing. Steel is fabricated at Gravesend from the structural engineer's drawings. The A10 forms the borough's western axis, running through Shoreditch, Dalston and Stoke Newington, and the lorry reaches it by the A2 and A3 at Borough. South of the Inner Ring Road it lies inside the Congestion Charge zone.

The A12 East Cross Route serves the east side at Hackney Wick, reached through the Blackwall Tunnel. On TfL red routes stopping is restricted, while on borough roads loading is generally allowed on yellow lines unless signs say otherwise. Cranes reach 15 m, 22 m or 30 m (fly jib).
