Plant screen posts made from rectangular hollow sections

Recently, a new client approached us with a unique project in Wolverhampton. They needed 76 plant screen posts made from rectangular hollow sections (RHS), with one end bolted to a wall. After reviewing our competitive pricing and quick turnaround times, they were impressed and decided to place an order with us.

From the outset, we worked closely with the client to ensure precise execution. Our in-house draftsmen translated their specifications into detailed technical drawings, leaving no room for error. Once finalised, we sourced the required steel from our trusted wholesaler and transported it to our workshop for processing. RHS steel was the ideal choice for this project, providing the necessary strength and durability to support the plant screens.

As soon as the materials arrived, our team meticulously checked them against the cutting list to confirm accuracy. Our skilled fabricators then cut the steel to the exact dimensions specified by the client. To guarantee a perfect fit, they carefully aligned each connection before starting the welding process. By working from the confirmed drawings, our coded fabricators ensured a seamless, secure, and structurally sound assembly.

Steel finishing and delivery to the West Midlands

Once fabrication was complete, our in-house Quality Assurance (QA) team conducted a final inspection to verify that every component met our high standards. To prepare the steel for powder coating, we carried out blasting, ensuring a clean and smooth surface. This crucial step made it easier for the client’s chosen powder coating firm in Wolverhampton to apply the final finish with minimal effort.

With the posts fully prepped, we loaded them onto one of our lorries and arranged delivery. Even though the project required us to travel further than usual, we were more than happy to go the extra mile—both literally and figuratively—to ensure everything arrived on time and in perfect condition.
