Jamie ‘Jay’ Poole looked after the order and talked the details through with the homeowner before those drawings were issued. This is a supply-only order: we are making and delivering the steel, and installation is not part of our scope.
Our approach
Design & planning
Jay talked the proposed package through with the homeowner before the revised drawings were issued. The homeowner then updated the details to 15mm plates, as discussed, and changed the wind post to a smaller RHS section. That updated drawing pack became the basis of the order. We identified the six components and separated the parts that need fabricating from the lateral beam, which is supplied without extra work, so the scope was clear ahead of delivery.
Fabrication
Five of the six components are made in our workshop: one T-bracket, one T-bracket with a bearing plate, two angled cantilever beams and the wind post. They follow the supplied drawings, including the 15mm plate elements and the revised RHS wind post. The lateral beam is supplied alongside them without further fabrication. All of the steel is supplied uncoated, as the homeowner asked.
Delivery & installation
We are supplying the steel to the home extension in Poling, West Sussex. Delivery is arranged for 21 October 2026, to suit the homeowner. The order is supply-only, so installation is not part of our scope.

- Confirmed order for six structural steel components for a home extension
- Bespoke T-brackets and angled cantilever beams made in one supply package
- Updated 15mm plate details and a smaller RHS wind post carried into the order
- Steel supplied uncoated, as specified
