Design & Planning

Our team began by reviewing the structural engineer’s drawings in detail to confirm beam sizes, connection points. Using this information, we prepared accurate fabrication drawings to ensure each steel component would align with the existing building structure.

Fabrication

Our role involved manufacturing several structural steel elements that would support the newly opened rear elevation and provide the necessary load-bearing support for the extension. Precision fabrication and timely delivery were essential to ensure our customer could proceed with installation without disruption.

Throughout the process, we maintained close communication with both the project contractor and the appointed structural engineer. This coordination ensured that all steel components met the specified structural requirements and were delivered in line with the agreed construction timeline.

In addition, the project schedule required a prompt turnaround to keep the extension works progressing without delay. This made efficient production and accurate communication between all parties particularly important.

Delivery & Installation

We also worked with our customer to understand site access conditions and determine the most suitable delivery method. By coordinating the delivery schedule with the overall build programme, we ensured the steel arrived on site exactly when needed.
This structured planning stage helped minimise potential on-site complications and allowed the customer to install the steelwork efficiently, once a prompt delivery took place.
