Project Overview
Dave contacted MAH Steel for a structural steel quote. Our project manager, Jamie “Jay” Poole, quickly acknowledged the enquiry and prepared accurate pricing based on his drawings. Small measurement tweaks were promptly incorporated, ensuring the project stayed on track.The Challenge
Although the project was straightforward, the biggest challenge was finding enough time within the workshop to accommodate the fabrication task due to the current workload of MAH Steel as we headed towards the festive period.
Our Approach
Design & Planning
Jamie “Jay” Poole, quickly acknowledged the enquiry and prepared accurate pricing based on his drawings. Small measurement tweaks were promptly incorporated, ensuring the project stayed on track. We helped clarify key points from the engineer’s plans, including correcting a PFC size, confirming the flitch plate width, and explaining tube spacers.
Fabrication
All steel for this project was custom-made in MAH Steel’s UK workshop to match the engineer’s drawings exactly. Before fabrication, our team carefully checked the measurements and details to make sure everything would fit correctly on site.
The steel was cut, prepared, and clearly labelled so installation was straightforward and hassle-free. Any technical points were explained in plain English, giving the homeowner confidence that the steelwork was right first time.
Delivery & Installation
Once complete, the steel was securely prepared for delivery and supplied ready for smooth installation, helping the renovation stay on schedule. Delivery was arranged with live tracking and communication.
