Steel fabrication for Brixton

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for extensions, loft conversions and refurbishments in Brixton and nearby Stockwell, Herne Hill and Tulse Hill, where much of the housing is Victorian, with delivery by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB).

Brixton has grand Victorian housing that grew up between the 1860s and 1890s. For loft and extension work to homes like these, steel is fabricated at Gravesend to the engineer's drawings. The lorry comes in on the A2 to Borough, takes the A3 south to Kennington, then the A23, the old London to Brighton road, through Brixton.

Brixton is in Lambeth, and kerb markings and signs at the address decide where a lorry can stop and for how long; TfL manages red routes and the borough manages other roads. The 15 m crane is the one designed for tight access and residential streets, with 22 m and 30 m (fly jib) available for longer reach, all confirmed per job.
