Project overview
One of our regular customers needed some special-sized steel columns, and quickly. They emailed us with a simple request for very specific, detailed steel for a commercial job in Clapham.
How we did it
Fabrication
The steel was delivered to our yard and offloaded. Our cutting and saw operators checked the cutting list and cut it to the required measurements, and a forklift took it to the fabrication area. Our workshop manager issued the job tickets and Tekla drawings, and our in-house inspector checked all the material before fabrication began. Our quality assurance team then checked the results, including the welding and drilling, to make sure the holes, plates and fabrication specifications were exactly where they should be.
Finish and delivery
The steel was painted in our paint shop and checked for paint thickness, then laid out in the yard. The loading team checked it against the delivery notes, and it was loaded onto one of our crane lorries and delivered to exactly where the customer wanted it, ready for installation.
We use you because of the quality of your work and you go out of your way to deliver what you have promised on the day you promised.
