Project overview
A new client approached us for structural steel for a large pool house on their residential property in Isington, Hampshire. They were impressed by our competitive pricing and turnaround times and quickly placed an order.
We scheduled a site survey to assess the project requirements and drew up detailed plans for the custom fabrication, tailored to the client's specification.
Work delivered
Fabrication
Once the client confirmed the plans, we sourced the structural steel from our wholesaler and brought it to our workshop. Each piece was cross-referenced with the architect's specification and the cutting list, then cut to length. Our welders fabricated the steel components to the confirmed architectural drawings, and our in-house quality assurance team inspected the holes, plates and connection points against the engineering plans. The components were then coated with zinc phosphate primer to the specified thickness in microns and hung to dry in our yard.
Delivery and installation
Our team added the bolts, steel-to-steel fixings, nuts and washers. Our 30-metre Hiab truck was loaded early in the morning and delivered the steel to site by 8am. The pool house installation took place in two phases: the ground floor was completed in four days, and the top floor a week later in a further three days.
