As soon as they placed their order, our team jumped into action. We prepared detailed fabrication drawings and scheduled the steel for delivery just two days later – a promise we were ready to meet.

We selected the steel directly from our in-house stock, which allowed us to move quickly without waiting on steel suppliers. Then we transported the steel to our cutting area, where our technicians checked it against the cutting list. After cutting, our team transferred the steel to the fabrication area. Our in-house coded fabricators double-checked all measurements before starting any work. From steel beams to paint: a complete fabrication process

Once fabrication was complete, our in-house Quality Assurance (QA) team carried out a thorough inspection. They checked that all dimensions matched the specifications, verified weld integrity, and ensured holes and connection plates were perfectly aligned. We treat quality checks as integral to the fabrication process – not an afterthought.

Next, we began the blasting and painting process. Our team prepared the steel for coating, then applied a zinc phosphate primer to protect it from corrosion. We monitored paint application to ensure the correct thickness in microns, which is crucial for long-term durability. Once coated, we hung the steel in the yard to dry and cure properly.

When the paint had dried, our QA and loading teams conducted another round of checks. They reviewed the fabrication one more time, confirming that every detail matched the drawings and requirements. Our team then added all required bolts, steel-to-steel fixings, nuts, washers, and packing plates. By the end of this step, the entire steel package was ready for delivery, fully assembled and checked.

Steel delivery and customer satisfaction

Our loading crew secured the finished steel onto our 30-metre Hiab truck, and the driver carried out a final inspection of the load. At 5 AM, we hit the road to ensure the delivery arrived early at the South West London site. Punctuality is a priority — and we made sure to meet it.

On-site, our driver used the truck’s crane to place the steel exactly where the customer needed it. This precision delivery saved time and reduced handling risks. The customer received everything on time, exactly as specified, with no delays or missing components.
