Project overview

A residential rear extension in Watford needed a goal post frame and connecting steels.

Work delivered

Fabrication

The steel arrived at our yard and was checked for defects before our fork truck team offloaded it. It was checked against the cutting list and sawn to length. In the fabrication area the cut ends were cleaned and marked out for drilling, and our fabricator put the end plates and connecting plates into position. The drilling team drilled the holes, the welders fully welded the steel, and the welding and drilling were checked against the engineering drawings.

Finish and delivery

The steel was blasted, painted to the correct thickness and hung to dry in the yard. The loading team checked it against the notes, added bolts, nuts, washers and packing plates if required, and loaded it onto our Hiab lorry. It was delivered to site and placed where the customer wanted it: through the garage and into the garden.

MAH Steel have been very easy to work with, they have done things when they said that they would, have been very professional and dedicated to the cause, it is a pleasure dealing with them. Steel has arrived on site and I couldn’t be more delighted with the service.
