A custom steel oil bath for a manufacturing process in Sittingbourne

Project overview

A new client in Sittingbourne approached us to design and fabricate a steel oil bath for their manufacturing process. After receiving our quote they chose MAH Steel, and our in-house draftsmen prepared technical drawings from their specification.

How we did it

Fabrication

We sourced the specified steels from our wholesaler and verified them against the cutting list, then cut them to length. Our fabricators followed the approved drawings to make each connection detail to the engineer's specification. Our quality assurance team inspected the fabricated components, checking the alignment of holes, plates and connection details against the engineer's design.

Finish and delivery

The steels were blasted and painted with a zinc phosphate primer at the correct thickness in microns, and left to dry in the yard. The oil bath was loaded onto one of our lorries for delivery the next morning, and the project was completed on schedule.
