Before fabrication started, our in-house inspector checked the material. The steel was cut to size and fabricated, then treated in our spray booth with grey zinc phosphate primer at the correct thickness and hung in the yard to dry.
Checks and delivery
Once manufactured, everything was inspected a second time to make sure the holes were drilled correctly and the beams with end plates fitted together. The steel was delivered by 30-metre (90ft) crane lorry.
