Project overview
A new customer in South West London needed steel for a residential extension. Our drawing team designed the project, the steel was cut to the project's cutting list, and our fabricators tack-welded the end plates and connecting plates into place.
Work delivered
Fabrication and finish
When the steel arrived it was checked and offloaded at our yard with fork trucks, then cut to length against the cutting list and verified by our fabrication team. After fabrication, the steel was checked to confirm that all holes and plates aligned with the engineering drawings, then blasted, coated and left to dry in our yard.
Delivery
The loading team visually checked the steel against the delivery notes and added bolts, nuts, washers and packing plates. It was loaded onto our Hiab lorry, with the driver checking the load, then delivered to site and placed where the customer wanted it: through the hoarding on a busy London street, with traffic restrictions lifted by the customer.
