Steel fabrication for Portsmouth

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for extensions, loft conversions and commercial projects in Portsmouth, Southsea and Cosham, with lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) delivery assessed for each address. Most of the city is on densely built Portsea Island, so access is assessed job by job.

Extension and loft steel for Portsmouth is fabricated at Gravesend to the structural engineer's drawings and checked before it leaves. The principal road corridor leaves the M25 at the Wisley interchange for the A3, which runs by Guildford, the Hindhead Tunnel, Liphook and Petersfield into the city. The island itself is reached over Portsbridge Creek by the M275, A3 or A2030.

The housing runs from Victorian terraces to post-war council estates that replaced terraces lost to Second World War bombing. Cosham, Farlington and Hilsea lie on the mainland side, north of the creek. MAH's HIAB cranes offer 15 m reach for tight access and residential streets, 22 m, or 30 m with a fly jib; reach and feasibility are confirmed per job.
