Steel fabrication for Rye

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for extensions, conversions and commercial buildings in Rye, Camber and Winchelsea, with delivery by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). Rye is a former Cinque Port on the edge of Romney Marsh, known for its medieval streets and cobbled lanes.

Where steel has to be adjusted on site, MAH offers onsite fabrication and welding: fitting steel, remedial steelwork and repairs, and modifications to beams and connections, with mobile welding, cutting and drilling tools brought to the job. The principal road corridor is the M25 and the A21, turning onto the A268 at Flimwell, which runs to Rye. The A268 and A259 follow the two historic turnpike roads into the town.

The historic centre stands on the rocky height known as the Citadel, with Romney Marsh spreading out beside the town. HIAB cranes reach 15 m for tight access, 22 m, or 30 m with a fly jib; reach and feasibility are confirmed per job.
