Steel fabrication for Uckfield

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for extensions, loft conversions and refurbishments in Uckfield, the East Sussex town on the River Uck at the southern edge of the Weald, with Crowborough and Lewes nearby, with delivery by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). Ashdown Forest lies immediately to the north.

From the workshop the route is the M25 to junction 6 and the A22 past East Grinstead and Forest Row, across Ashdown Forest to Uckfield. The A22 runs on a bypass at Uckfield and the A26, which links Tunbridge Wells and Lewes, merges with it around the town.

Uckfield has grown from 916 people in 1811 to 15,033 in 2021, with estates including Hempstead Fields and Rocks Park, and Church Street keeps buildings that predate 1700, such as the Old Grammar School and the Malt House. MAH supplies steel for home extensions and loft conversions, made from the engineer's drawings. HIAB reach is 15 m for tight access, 22 m for the mid-range or 30 m with fly jib, confirmed per job.
