Steel fabrication for Lewes

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for extensions, loft conversions and refurbishments in Lewes, the county town of East Sussex, about 7 miles north-east of Brighton, where the River Ouse cuts through the South Downs, with delivery by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). The town has many listed buildings.

The route is the M25 to junction 5, the A21 to Tonbridge, then the A26 through Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough and Uckfield to Lewes. The A27 passes south of the town and the A275 comes in from the north. Lewes has been part of the South Downs National Park since 2010.

The town has many listed buildings, among them Southover Grange and Westgate Chapel (Grade II*) and Jireh Chapel (Grade I). On older buildings, steel is fabricated from the engineer's drawings, and MAH can also fabricate and weld on site, with modifications to beams and connections. The HIAB fleet has a 15 m crane for tight access, a 22 m for mid-range lifts and a 30 m with fly jib for high reach, and the vehicle is confirmed per job.
