Steel fabrication for Rochester

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop in Kent for building projects in Rochester, Strood and Borstal, where a Norman castle and cathedral and a town centre of 14th- to 18th-century buildings sit beside the Medway, with delivery by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) via the A2 and M2.

From the workshop the route runs east, along the A2 or the A226 through Higham to Strood, or the M2. The A2 crosses the Medway at Rochester Bridge, the lowest crossing point of the river, and the M2 carries traffic slightly further south.

Rochester's street plan was shaped by the river, Watling Street, the priory and the castle, and many buildings in the centre date from the 14th to 18th centuries. Strood is on the west bank, with Borstal and The Delce as suburbs. For this kind of work, MAH can offer steel erection and onsite fabrication alongside delivery, with steel made from the engineer's drawings. HIAB reach is 15 m, 22 m or 30 m with fly jib, confirmed per job.
