Project overview
A loft conversion in Bexleyheath (DA7) needed fabricated steel craned directly onto the roof space. Once the fabrication details were agreed, we got straight to work.
Work delivered
Fabrication
The right steel sections were selected from our in-house stock, cut to length against the cutting list and measured again before fabrication began. The steels were fabricated to the engineer's drawings, drilled and welded with plates fitted to the specification, and checked at each stage.
Finish and delivery
The steels were blasted and given a zinc phosphate primer at the thickness required, then left to dry in our yard. By 5am the next morning they were loaded onto our 30-metre Hiab lorry and delivered to site, where they were craned over the house and into the loft space.
