With our head office located next to the Dartford Crossing, we’re ideally positioned to supply steel fabrication services to Essex, Kent, London and surrounding areas. This particular project was located pretty close to our workshop.

Steel fabrication is the foundation for structural projects, and we provide only the highest quality work to all our clients. We custom make our metal components and assemblies for commercial and residential projects across the UK.

Here’s a sneak peek at our latest project.

First thing to do, is to deliver steel to our yard by our trusted supplier. After this, our loading team offload each piece.

With a team specialising in design and manufacture of steel fabricated products, MAH Steel provide practical, cost-effective solutions. And we’re located literally just around the corner, in Kent!

So, after a successful delivery our skilled cutting and saw operators check the cutting list and cut the steel to the required measurements. To ensure the correct cut lengths are achievable, we clean up and square off the end. It’s going smooth! Using our CNC production line with millimetre tolerance, cutting the steel is always highly accurate. Combined with cleaning up and squaring off the ends, we ensure the length is correct every time. Steel can be an unforgiving product if not done completely, so our talented and knowledgeable fabricators are here to help.

With the material cut, we transport it by folk lift to the fabrication area. After all this, it’s ready for our experienced fabrication team to start the project! Job tickets and Tekla drawings are then issued by our workshop manager. Before our fabrication team start, all material gets a check by our own in-house inspector. Last but not least, next step with the fabrication complete is quality control. We have to make sure the beams line up with end plates. So, precision is the key for us at MAH Steel.

Finishing touches

Finally, everything is ready for the next step. The steel is taken to our paint shop to be painted. It is then checked for the paints thickness and laid out in the yard. Next step is delivery!

Our well-equipped factory ensures products are the highest quality and checked by our highly professional staff before leaving our workshop.
Once again, it’s being checked by the loading team, that all steel is correct to the delivery notes. Next we load it onto one of our crane lorries. All our driver-operators are ALMI trained, undergoing frequent and rigorous testing. This enables them to observe the latest safety guidelines. They deliver steel to the site, where it is placed and erected by our site installation team all steel work, of course to be checked one more after erection. All the bolts are then done up and customer is asked to check that they are happy, and everything is correct. The job is then signed off – this is how we roll.

Importantly, before any job can leave the workshop we make sure 2 fully trained staff check it over. The steel is then quickly and efficiently delivered to where you need within the Essex and the whole South East area. So, another MAH Steel job done!
