Project overview
MAH Steel designed, fabricated, supplied and installed the steel for a project at Hundred of Hoo Academy in Kent, close to our workshop. The design team modelled the structure in our 3D Tekla software, and on this project we were also asked to take on the steel connection design, based on the loading provided by the engineer.
How we did it
Design
The design team drafted the drawings and modelled the structure in Tekla. The connection design was detailed from the engineer's loading and sent to the engineers, architects and the customer for approval.
Fabrication, delivery and installation
Once the drawings were approved, the steel was cut, drilled and fabricated into its components to the fabrication drawings. The fabricated steel was delivered and installed on site by our install team.
Outcome
- Signed off and handed over to the customer one week ahead of the completion date (original write-up)
