Steel fabrication for the M2 corridor

MAH Steel fabricates structural steel at our Gravesend workshop, from where the A2 meets the M2 near Strood, and delivers by lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) to the Medway towns, Maidstone, Canterbury and the north Kent coast.

From Gravesend the A2 runs east to meet the M2 near Strood. The M2 crosses the River Medway, with junction 1 for the A2 and the A289 Medway Towns Northern Relief Road, junction 2 for the A228, junction 3 for the A229 towards Maidstone and Chatham, junction 4 for the A278 and junction 5 for the A249 towards Maidstone, Sittingbourne and Sheerness. At its eastern end it meets the A2 at Brenley Corner, where the A299 Thanet Way heads for Whitstable, Herne Bay, Margate and Ramsgate and the A2 carries on towards Canterbury.

The corridor covers very different sites: town streets in Rochester or Chatham, the Hoo Peninsula, mid Kent villages and Thanet seafronts. That is why a lorry is never routed by road number alone. We agree the offload position, parking and overhead clearance with you first, and the choice of road is made for each delivery.
